VRWS Leadership Interview of the Day

In approaching the 9th edition of the Vacation Rental World Summit, we’re releasing a series of interviews to leaders, key players and highly motivated people in our industry whose companies make a deep impact in our space and will be present at VRWS.

The aim is to get you some insight into these leaders and the company they founded, manage or work for, as well as getting some behind the scenes on their thinking, their motivation and their drive.



Head of Sales - Vikey

How would you describe your career path and what brought you to Vikey?

“I was always working and studying in the tourism field. Starting from hotels, I became a tourism expert giving consulting first of all as a freelance then starting my own company, CVS Roma. Vikey was searching for a sales manager that was able to have the same mindset as the property managers, with negotiation skills and ambitious to get new challenges. I was involved in a startup system at the time in a coworking, improving my digital skills,  so I was honored to enjoy a startup working in my same field. Fortunately, we’ve been doing great things together for more than 3 years.”

“In the last 6 years I have been passionate about startups, coworking, and digital marketing”, your LinkedIn summary says. What attracts you the most to all things digital? 

“In digital, things change quickly, get bigger fast, and evolve in a short time. The startups rise, and fail in years, not decades, and they are mirroring the trends, waves, and society’s cultural changes. There are no economic aspects that can’t be considered in connection with digital nowadays. So whatever your job, skills, or social behavior is, it has to face that. It is so fascinating!”

Let’s say for the purpose of the interview that Vikey is exhibiting at an in-person event. A property manager approaches you to find out more. How would you describe the benefits Vikey provides?

“Vikey makes property managers and hosts save above 80% of the check-in costs and time. Makes the operation lighter and less stressful, and helps management to scale, and get with the owners a better connection all because of the energy saving and control domotics. “

VRWS 22 is about to land in Porto. What do you expect from the overall experience?

“An exhibition can never be valued in terms of costs/leads/contracts. Experiences like this help companies having knowledge about themselves, their value in the market, competitors, possible partnerships and first of all make them get out of their comfort zone.”
