VRWS Leadership Interview of the Day
In approaching the 9th edition of the Vacation Rental World Summit, we’re releasing a series of interviews to leaders, key players and highly motivated people in our industry whose companies make a deep impact in our space and will be present at VRWS.
The aim is to get you some insight into these leaders and the company they founded, manage or work for, as well as getting some behind the scenes on their thinking, their motivation and their drive.
How would you describe your career path and what brought you to TurnoverBnB?
“20+ years ago I was involved in ultra luxury property rentals, and in 2016 I became involved in safety related services for the vacation rental industry. In 2021 I was in contact with the founders at TurnoverBnB and was hired in Q3 last year as the company’s Partnerships Director.”
In a recent interview at The I Meet Hotel Hoteliers Podcast you discussed the importance of data for predicting trends. Which key insights popped up while conversing with Kristian Lupinski?
“There were a number of points we discussed on the data side. Trends in cleaning costs, per unit size, per city or region, etc. is important information our data science team put together. Costs have increased, and thus labour was definitely a key discussion point. It’s likely why use of our marketplace of cleaners has grown significantly. And whilst labour is key, it strengthens the importance of automating certain aspects of property managers business – fortunately for us, both of our services compliment each other.”
Let’s say for the purpose of the interview that TurnoverBnB is exhibiting at an in-person event. A property manager approaches you to find out more. How would you describe the benefits TurnoverBnB provides?
“TurnoverBnB provide two distinct services:
- Automation of short term rental cleaning through our software for property managers to schedule cleaning, improve inventory controls, use of photos & documents, flexible work checklists and even pay cleaners
- Global marketplace of cleaners for property managers to get bids and find new cleaners in one or more geographic areas.
Both services are available in English, Portugues, Spanish and French. Italian and German will be ready in Q4.”
VRWS 22 is about to land in Porto. What do you expect from the overall experience?
“TurnoverBnB continues to expand geographically, and we look forward to meeting new PMS partners and property management companies at VRWS 22.”
You’ll have the opportunity to meet Wolf and his team on Sept. 15th-16th at VRWS
