JAMES BUGNER
Describe your career in the vacation rental industry and how you reached your current position in the company.
I have a strong background in the vacation rental industry, accumulating 9 years of experience. During the initial 5 years of my career, I worked in two different sales channel start-ups. In January 2020,I joined Rentals United, where I was tasked with managing and nurturing the UK market. Over the past 18 months, my responsibilities have expanded, and I currently oversee the Global sales team, which operates across 7 different countries.
In your opinion, what are the main current challenges in the vacation rental industry, and how do you think your company can help overcome them?
The vacation rental industry faces several pressing challenges, and Rentals United is committed to addressing them. One of the key issues is the need for automation and technology integration to help property managers streamline their operations. Property managers often operate with lean teams, and during peak seasons, their workload can become overwhelming. Rentals United aims to empower property managers by providing them with a comprehensive solution to manage their properties efficiently. We understand that the vacation rental industry is relatively new, and the abundance of technology providers can be perplexing for property managers. Our goal is to simplify this process by offering a user-friendly platform that covers various aspects of property management.
What are your expectations for the 2023 edition of VRWS in Barcelona, and what makes you particularly interested in attending this specific edition?
I have high expectations for the 2023 edition of the VRWS in Barcelona. VRWS is renowned for its impeccable organization and the opportunity it provides to connect with industry peers. I look forward to reuniting with colleagues and professionals from the vacation rental industry. Additionally, I see this event as a great platform to introduce Rentals United to potential prospects in our ever-evolving and exciting industry.
Could you provide a brief preview of what attendees can expect from your participation during the Vacation Rental World Summit?
Our aim is to showcase how Rentals United can significantly contribute to revenue maximization of property managers and growth of businesses in this sector. We’ll provide insights into our innovative technologies and demonstrate how they can simplify and enhance property management operations, ultimately helping them to stay competitive in this rapidly changing landscape.
