FAUSTO SILVA
- What do you do for a living and which part of your job do you enjoy the most?
I am an SC Manager Europe & Brazil in PriceLabs. As an SC manager at PriceLabs, I love the flexibility, meeting new people, and feeling that we make a change in our customers’ operations.
- How does your company innovate or adapt to the evolving needs of the vacation rental space?
At PriceLabs, we innovate in the vacation rental space by investing in top talent, fostering a dynamic company culture, listening to our customer’s needs, and continuously pushing technological boundaries to deliver exceptional solutions.
- How do you view the various predictions about AI’s impact on society, ranging from dystopian scenarios to transformative advancements, and how does your company approach or integrate AI technology?
I believe the term “AI” is still quite ambiguous for many people, but over time, we’ll gain a clearer understanding and see AI becoming a regular part of our daily routines. However, the pace of adoption may vary depending on the context, your location, or what you are looking for. Hyper-local data and operations will continue to make all the difference, and as AI evolves, destinations or experiences where you can live and feel traditional and non-tech environments may become a luxury or niche market. At PriceLabs, we leverage AI across multiple levels and features, from machine learning to predictive analytics. By staying at the forefront of innovation, AI helps us deliver enhanced solutions to our users, driving better results.
- What would you like to achieve by attending the Vacation Rental World Summit 2024 in Porto with your company?
Attending the Vacation Rental World Summit 2024 in Porto is a fantastic opportunity to connect with current clients, network with industry professionals, and enhance our brand awareness. I look forward to gaining new insights, creating memorable experiences, and attracting new satisfied customers while immersing ourselves in the vibrant community.
- What are your passions, including any hobbies or sports, that you enjoy discussing and sharing with others outside the professional setting?
I’ve been working remotely for over 10 years and enjoy discovering new cafés with great views and vibrant atmospheres to work from. I love spending time with my son, whether biking, playing at the beach, or listening to music. I’m also passionate about the traditions of northern Portugal, and I make a point to travel to historical villages, medieval and Celtic events, and various local festivals.
