Describe your career in the vacation rental industry and how you reached your current position in the company.

My career has been always linked to Smart lock manufacturers, focused on environments where this type of solutions were required more for security reasons (critical infrastructures), than for operational or process optimization issues.

However, in recent years, Smart lock manufacturers have become a major player in this market, a small, but fundamental part, an essential tool for property managers and an increasingly popular option for vacation rental apartment owners.

Therefore, one of the important industries for Salto’s residential area is the vacation rental industry, and during these years, we have put a lot of effort in trying to adapt to market trends and needs, and personally, very focused on identifying opportunities and understanding the vacation rental environment.

In your opinion, what are the main current challenges in the vacation rental industry, and how do you think your company can help overcome them?

The vacation rental industry has been affected by abrupt changes in a very short time. Thanks to the irruption of technology, the business model has taken a 180-degree turn and the players have had to implement new tools and adapt them in order to manage the different assets efficiently and offer an optimal service to customers.

As a result, today it can be said that it´s essential for property managers to implement to their businesses PMS´s, Channels Manager softwares, guest experience app´s, and of course, smart lock solutions in order to streamline, optimize and automate the sending of digital keys to guests, as well as improve the user experience, offering the possibility of arriving at the apartment in an autonomous, and safe way.

Salto Homelok, our solution for the vacation rental industry, has been purely developed as an answer to new market needs, it provides a modern access experience to residents and improves operations for vacation rental professionals.

What are your expectations for the 2023 edition of VRWS in Barcelona, and what makes you particularly interested in attending this specific edition?

VRWS is an event that we have been following closely for several years, an event that brings together the most important players in this market and in which we have high expectations.

For Salto, VRWS is an unbeatable opportunity to present to the market the new solution that we have been working on to mark a before and after in the vacation sector. In addition, this space will also serve us to continue learning from a sector that is constantly evolving and that it is strategically very interesting for us.

Could you provide a brief preview of what attendees can expect from your participation during the Vacation Rental World Summit?

In this edition of VRWS we will present the latest technology of smart lock solutions. We have a wide variety of electronic locks in our catalogue. We like to say that we have a specific solution for every customer need, precisely that flexibility and the ability to adapt is one of the added values of Salto.

On the other hand, we have also developed a super powerful software tool, very focused on the property managers, that will serve to manage and centralize the accesses of the guests to the different apartments.

In short, we want to introduce VRWS assistants to the latest electronic locking technology and show how we can help to streamline manager operations and improve the user experience for guests.
