LYON AIRPORT (LYS)

To get from Lyon Airport (LYS) to the Palais des congrès, we highly recommend UBER/BOLT due to its savings in cost compared to a taxi. However, you have several options depending on your preference for convenience, cost, and time. Here are the main options:

1. Taxi or Private Transfer

Duration: About 35-40 minutes (depending on traffic).

Cost: Around €50-€70 for a taxi from the airport to Lyon. UBER/BOLT is significantly cheaper (can be 50% off from Lyon to the airport for example)

Details: You can take a taxi from the official taxi ranks at LYS airport. You can also use UBER or BOLT fr your transfers everywhere and they are significantly cheaper than regular taxis.

Pros: Direct, convenient, and door-to-door service.

Cons: More expensive than public transportation.

2.Tram + Bus (public transport, economical)

• Take the Rhônexpress tram from the airport to Lyon-Part-Dieu train station (about a 30-minute ride). 

• From Part-Dieu, transfer to a local bus (e.g., C1 or C2) that goes to Cité Internationale / Centre de Congrès (about 10–15 minutes). 

This option uses public transport and is relatively inexpensive.
